Hong Kong Wine Recollection. Retrospective notes. Final Five Days Part 2 at Dom's home. 2005/2/7

 Year  Wine  Price  Rating
1996 Dom Perignon, Champagne
Refreshing. But we can't stop comparing with the Krug. This is feeling lighter and more citrus in nature. Much less complex. I like the 95 La Grande Dame we had in Christmas better. - so - ws

2000 Domaine A. F. Gros, Vosne Romanee
A very strong red burgundy with power more than elegance, cherry and berry, dried red fruit and orange peel. - so - ws

2001 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Fay Cabernet, Napa Valley
Great Stags Leap fruit, cassis, mocha, long finish yet soft and powerful at the same time. - so - ws

1998 Pichon Lalande, Pauillac
Green pepper, berry, not very memorable. - so - ws

An Italian wine that Dom opened for Dad (with the Vosne Romanee too) before we arrived. They were having fun tuning Hi-Fi listening to Choi Kum. A very good Italian as I recall. - so - ws
