de Sales is supposedly made by the same winemaking team as Petrus. elegant French oak, vanilla, light airy body, berry, med to long finish, pleasant. - so - ws

2005 Picard, St. Estephe
Captain Picard of Star Trek The Next Generation is supposed to have a family vineyard and he opened a few bottles of Chateau Picard in a few episodes (vintage 2347 or something like that). There is a real Chateau Picard that I wanted to try for some time. this wine is tart, berry, has some new playing cards scent, long but sour finish. Not so good. - so - ws
