1999	Newton Claret, Napa Valley An earthy nose, perhaps barnyardy that may not appeal to many. Raymond thinks it is the smell of Chinese "skin egg". Other than the strange aroma, flavor is plummy and concentrated with reasonbly nice mid-palate. - so - ws	20	***
1999	St. Supery Rutherford Cabernet, Rutherford Originally priced at $60 (which would have been greatly overpriced), now reduced to $29.99. Blackberry, tea leaves with hints of earth and dust. Rich and evolving mid-palate. Good toasty oak finish. - so - ws	29.99	****
1998	Silver Oak, Alexander Valley Cassis, jammy fruit, impressive as first impression, but quickly, quickly faded into a simple, one-dimensional berry drink with a hint of herbaceousness. Even not in a decanter. 3 and a half star. - so - ws	60	***
