toasty, tannic, berry, long but simple finish - so - ws

2nd wine of Chateau Haut Brion, blueberry, fine tannins, tobacco, earth, dried plum, long but simple finish, does feel like it has potential to evolve nicely. - so - ws

1996 B.R. Cohn Reserve Cabernet, Sonoma. $59.99. ***½
served blind as mystery wine. olive, herbs, blackberry, new world, sage. Thought it's an 2000 or 1998 Stags Leaps. Rather tired and close to over the hill. - so - ws
