Baby Requisition Strategy Meeting. kk,x,pau, vicky, lim, sherry, soh, celia, ben, rosa, hand,Gene Soo first time. 2003/11/24

 Year  Wine  Price  Rating
2001 Lewis Cabernet, Napa Valley
lim's wine. Anise, berry, sweet plum, very very concentrated, huge extraction. Decanted 2 hours. Much softer than the one tasted in Viognier with Stanley (with almost no decanting). - so - ws
56.99 *****
1999 Chateau Maucoil Privilege, Chateauneuf-du-Pape
bigland's wine. raspberry, blackberry, meat, light body, good concentration, the finish resembles tea leaves, green herbs, not very appealing - so - ws
30 **
2000 Quintessa, Napa Valley
tasted once in winery. dark plum, violet, full body, chalky, impressive long finish that never ends. Great deal at 69.95 - so - ws
70 *****
1996 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Fay, Stags Leap District
Gift to jenny from Vintage Winery's boss. definitely one of our very favorite wines. berry, herb, jammy sweet, well integrated, vanilla oak, med to full body, very elegant, roasted nut finish. Not so much of the gamy, musky fragrance shown in most Stag's Leap wines. - so - ws
69 *****
2000 Montes Alpha M, Santa Cruz
ben's wine. violet, pencil lead nose, tannic, full body, menthol, berry, slight bitter finish - so - ws

2000 Penfold Bin 407, Southern Australia
Gene's wine (my recommendation). Concentrated currant, berry, mint, licorice, simple but pleasant. - so - ws
17 ***
2001 Rock Rabbit, Santa Barbara
Kevin's proxy wine. Orange flower, cherry, fresh herbs, quite refreshing, very fruity with a hint of orange/cinnamon spice. 3.5 stars. (I have to say it wasn't impressive the first day. But with the Fay, Quintessa, M gone the second night, it shows off nicely) - so - ws
